About Jo Barrett
Jo Barrett is a senior executive with more than 20 years’ experience working with chief executives, boards, founders, senior leadership teams and investors across complex international organisations, including founder-led, private equity-backed, listed and partnership businesses.
Her work spans enterprise transformation, operating model design, organisational performance, commercial restructuring, international growth and leadership capability. She has designed and led changes to the systems, structures and decision-making practices that enable organisations to scale, adapt and perform.
Her writing examines how organisations create value through strategy, operating models, performance, people, leadership, artificial intelligence, organisational design and judgement. Drawing on practical executive experience, she explores how these elements connect, where decisions produce unintended consequences, and what organisations need to change to turn strategy into execution and create sustainable commercial value.
The Enterprise Agenda is an independent executive publication written primarily for chief executives, boards, founders, senior leadership teams and investors — people responsible for setting direction, making consequential decisions, building organisations and creating long-term value.
It examines how businesses actually work, how value is created or lost, and what happens when strategy, people, technology and organisational capability fail to connect. Artificial intelligence is an important part of this conversation, including its implications for leadership, decision-making, work and enterprise performance.
Everyone interested in understanding organisations more deeply is welcome.
